The Art of Starting Anyway
Hi, I'm Zoey.
I'm the artist and creator behind Lucille Lane.
And if there's one thing I've learned over the past year, it's that sometimes the biggest risk isn't failing, it's never starting at all.
For years, I built a career in communications, helping people tell their stories, elevate their ideas, and bring important issues to light. Along the way, I raised a family, chased big goals, and filled notebooks with sketches, doodles, and creative ideas that rarely made it beyond the page.
No matter where life took me, creating was always there.
Less than a year ago, I decided to stop waiting for the perfect moment and finally share my art with the world.
What began as a creative side hustle quickly became Lucille Lane.
The name came from my daughter, and I instantly loved it. Later, I learned that Lucille means "light" or "illumination," which felt especially meaningful. Throughout my career, I've helped bring other people's stories to light. Lucille Lane became a way to finally bring my own creativity into the light, too.
Inspired by my Louisiana roots and nearly two decades spent in New Orleans, Lucille Lane is a celebration of bold personalities, colorful stories, Southern charm, and the belief that life is far more interesting when we embrace what makes us unique.
Every piece begins with an original sketch and a willingness to color outside the lines. From art prints and home décor to paper goods and gifts, my goal is simple: to create things that make people smile, spark conversation, and add a little more personality to everyday life.
I'm still learning. I'm still growing. And honestly, I'm still amazed by the support this little business has received in such a short time.
Every order, every kind message, every share, and every visit to this website means more than you know. What started as a dream tucked away for years has become something real because of people like you.
Thank you for supporting this small business, this creative journey, and this colorful corner of the world.
Welcome to Lucille Lane.
XO,
Zoey
